A different approach to the Allalinhorn! Starting point is the Britannia hut on 3030m. The trail leads you first over the slopy Hohlaub glacier to the beginning of the East Ridge. Following along the impressive snow ridge you will be provided by a stunning view over the remote area of the Allalin glacier. Before reaching the summit you will conquer a short, but exhilarating rock step that will require easy scrambling. The descent is via the normal route.    Best time:   19. Juni - 20. This traverse in combination with the descent down the ice armoured Northwest face to Hohsaas is among the easiest and most beautiful mixed snow and rock climbs of the classic 4000 meter peaks. It is also considered by many to be one of the best traverses of its difficulty in the Alps. The terrain is very varied, the rock scrambling entertaining and the summit ridge narrow and the famous subject of many ads. The views from the summit will leave you speechless. The descent follows the normal route down to Hohsaas. If you mastered the Allalinhorn then you are ready for the Weissmies. After the overnight stay in the Hohsaas hut on 3100m, you will start in the early morning with the ascent to the Weissmies summit. The trail leads you through towering seracs and passes through a glacier wonderland before cresting on to the final ridge. Your efforts will be rewarded with a breathtaking view spanning from the summits of the Bernese Oberland to the Monte Rosa and all the way to the Bernina Massif in the eastern part of Switzerland. This tour begins with a taxi ride from Saas-Fee to Täschalp. From there, a comfortable hiking trail leads up to the Täschhütte for around 2 hours. The next morning you first climb a hiking trail to the Alphubel glacier and then over it to the Alphubeljoch. Depending on the conditions, the last 400 meters of altitude lead over the ice nose or the east couloir to the summit. The descent is via the moderately steep, glaciated flank in the direction of the Längfluhbahn, which brings us to Saas Fee.    Best time:  Mid-June - End-September 2026   Fitness Level Skill Level   Snow tour of medium difficulty Good average athletic fitness. The Allalinpass is an interesting pass crossing from Saas Fee to Täsch in a grandiose high alpine landscape, but technically not very demanding. From the Britanniahütte we descend onto the Allalin Glacier and then ascend to reach the Allalin Pass 3556m over moderately steep firn fields. The descent is via the Mellich glacier to the Täschalp from where a shuttle brings us back to Saas-Fee.   Best time:   19th of June - 20th of September 2025   Fitness Level Skill Level   Easy snow tour. The Lagginhorn with its 4010m is the lowest 4000m peak. This route will captivate you with its varied and fun terrain. It is the perfect introduction to rock and mixed alpine climbing. The starting point is the Weissmies hut at 2700m. From here the trail leads across moraines, glaciers, entertaining rock-climbing sections and snowfields to a small and airy summit. The Nadelhorn is aptly named as in German the term refers to a great needle as when viewed from the Southwest, the peak appears sharply pointed with a hole just below the summit. It is the easiest climb in the dramatic Mischabel Group but still requires very good physical fitness and solid footwork in crampons. The climb is varied in different conditions and the final summit push requires some easy scrambling in rock and ice. At 4545 meters the Dom is the highest peak entirely within Switzerland and the third highest in the Alps. Summiting the highest peak in the imposing Mischabel group remains a goal for many an ambitious mountaineer. While less travelled than the other famed high peaks like the Mont Blanc and Dufourspitze the splendid feeling of being underway on one of the most beautiful snow peaks in the Alps with stunning panoramic scenery. Even though its technically not difficult, the elevation as well as the length of the trip are very demanding due to no cable car access. It is therefore advisable to prepare yourself accordingly and it is ideal to arrive 1-2 days prior to acclimatize.    Best time:   24. Juni - 13. The climb to the highest non- 4000 metre peak of the Alps is fun, varied and exceptionally scenic. The trail winds its way across snow and ice fields to the summit. This climb requires an early alpine start. From the Britannia hut the trail initially leads across the Hohlaub glacier. We then travel along the long, drawn out Allalin glacier, under the east walls of the Rimpfischhorn, to the Adler Pass (3789m). From here we follow the initially defined and then broader ridge to the summit. The views across to the East face of the Monte Rosa, the highest face in the Alps, are stunning. This climb, although technically very easy, requires a very good measure of fitness. The descent is via the same route.    Best time:   19: Juni - 20. The Rimpfischhorn is very remote and cannot be easily reached from any side. The rocky exposed summit section is particularly interesting. From the Britanniahütte you climb over the Allalin glacier to the Allalin pass, then on the Mellich glacier up to the Rimpfischsattel. This is where the rock climb of approx. 1 hour begins with a level of difficulty 2-3 up to the summit at 4199m.    Best time:   19. Juni - 20. The Mischabel Hut is the starting point here as well. Initially we follow the same trail as the one to the Nadelhorn. From the Windjoch at 3850m we reach the summit by following a gentle snow ridge. The summit is famous for its stunning views, especially the impressive North East face of the Lenzspitze. A bench on the summit invites you to stay a while and enjoy the peace, quiet and beauty of the mountains.
