This spectacular tour from Saas-Fee to Saas Grund is by far the most beautiful and thrilling way of connecting the two villages. The trail passes through natural canyons, caves, water falls and alpine vegetation. In addition, you will experience zip lines, suspension bridges and pendulum swings with one rappel at the end of the tour. For hundreds of years people only dared glimpse into the depth of the Saaser Vispa canyon. Nowadays we glide down its center via iron cables, pegs and ladders. While perhaps being intimidating at the start, butterfly-filled stomachs and wobbly knees will give way to smiles and screams of triumph while overcoming the forces of gravity through natural terrain. The Zip lines are now also open in winter. Zip lines of 220 meters await you! We meet at the Saas Fee Guides office and go to the adventure forest. After a short briefing you will be able to do the training course in the trees. In this course you will learn how to move safely off-piste. The theoretical part includes avalanche knowledge, assessment of the avalanche danger, tour planning. In the practical part in the ski area we make observations in the terrain and snow, avalanche transceiver training, handling of emergency equipment. This impressive tour over the Fee Glacier leaves no one cold. You start at the mountain station Längfluh, with snowshoes, poles and a climbing harness you always climb up the Fee Glacier secured by the rope of the mountain guide. Traversing monumental Séracs and crevasses, you reach the highest point on the glacier plateau, the Panoramaplatz. From the Hohsaas station we climb the Hohlaub glacier over ideal snowshoeing terrain. Ready for a good challenge? Are you acclimatized, physically fit and experienced in ski touring, then take a closer look at the Alphubel. Real alpinism, roped up to your Saas-Fee Guide, you will pass along deep crevasses up to a steep couloir. After several kick turns on ski crampons we will reach the top. The Alphubel is one of the most difficult ski tour in the valley of Saas. No summit involved, but a 2000 vertical meter descent down to Täsch in the Zermatt Valley. On top of the Allalinpass the breathtaking panorama includes of course the Matterhorn. The glacial topped mountain offers a majestic view. The Strahlhorn is the perfect mountain for all strong-legged ski mountaineers for a long skin up. After a 3 hours climb we arrive at the Adlerpass where you have the first climb over the Western Alps. The last ascent leads over a broad ice field to a long summit ridge. The Strahlhorn can be done from February till March as a day trip from the Metro Alpine mid-station. The Rimpfischhorn is very remote and cannot be easily reached from any side. The rocky exposed summit section is particularly interesting. From the Britanniahütte you climb over the Allalin glacier to the Allalin pass, then on the Mellich glacier up to the Rimpfischsattel. This is where the rock climb of approx. 1 hour begins with a level of difficulty 2-3 up to the summit at 4199m.    Best time:   March 2nd - May 20th 2025   Fitness Level Skill Level   Mixed tour of medium difficulty Very good athletic fitness.
