Allalinhorn East Ridge 4027m from Britannia Hut

A different approach to the Allalinhorn! Starting point is the Britannia hut on 3030m.

The trail leads you first over the slopy Hohlaub glacier to the beginning of the East Ridge. Following along the impressive snow ridge you will be provided by a stunning view over the remote area of the Allalin glacier. Before reaching the summit you will conquer a short, but exhilarating rock step that will require easy scrambling. The descent is via the normal route.
