This tour begins with a taxi ride from Saas-Fee to Täschalp. From there, a comfortable hiking trail leads up to the Täschhütte for around 2 hours. The next morning you first climb a hiking trail to the Alphubel glacier and then over it to the Alphubeljoch. Depending on the conditions, the last 400 meters of altitude lead over the ice nose or the east couloir to the summit.
The descent is via the moderately steep, glaciated flank in the direction of the Längfluhbahn, which brings us to Saas Fee.
Best time: End-June - End-September
